Al: aka Al Danté

Al’s coloring is called Blue, although he is grey.  Technically he is a Blue Irish spotted, with white markings.  He is 13 3/8” at the shoulder, and weighs 9 ¾ pounds in the summer and around 10 ¼ pounds in the winter.   He can turn into a pork chop fairly easily, and has weighed as much as 13 pounds several years ago. 

Al's real name is Al Danté which is the name I gave him after he became my dog.  Al’s  AKC registered name is  MACH2 Willowmere's Jazzman D'Laviere, which is hard to say quickly on an agility course, so when he became my dog he became Al  which is  short for Al Danté.  The Danté portion of his name came from Danté's Inferno.    He is a little devil.

Before Al became my dog, the breeder had named him Buddy.  Not very imaginative, but Al isn’t the most original name either.  Al answers to any name you call him as long as it is food!  He also is affectionately known as BooBoo, and Little Man.     

He was born December 29, 1999.  Al was kept by the breeder (Bill Monohon of Willowmere Kennels, Oregon City, Or.) for 13 months after he was born.
