Puyallup Valley Dog Fanciers Club Trial
Redmond, Wa., August 21, 2004
Judges: Dan Selthofer, Joan Meyer
This was a great day for Grace. She had two nice runs on the same day, earning her second double Q!! Too bad the double Qs don't count unless you are in Excellent, but by the way Grace has decided to run it is possible that she could earn her OAJP title soon, as she now has two qualifying scores and only needs one more. That would be incredible.
Unfortunately, we don't have video of either of her runs. A friend tried to video Grace and Heather, and she never pushed the record button??!! And Grace's second run, was filmed, but due to a computer processing error, it is somehow unusable, and I don't have the tape backup, because I was sure that it had downloaded properly. Yikes?!!
Grace actually ran, very happily on both courses. She had one refusal on the JWW course where you are allowed one. It was in the weave poles. The second attempt was perfect and she ran through the whole course.
On the Std course she did a sit on the table, had no problems with the weave poles, and had only one refusal. It was enough for a second place score, which was her first Q in Open Standard Preferred.
The second day of the trial was cancelled due to a flooded Agility Course and significant damage to the temporary facilities that were erected for the Sammamish Dog Club, Dog Show and Obedience Trial. There were a lot of unhappy people slogging through above the ankle deep water to retrieve their crates, shade tents, merchandise, and all kinds of other stuff. The Dog Club had two large tents collapse from the rain, crushing their office, fences and apparently, many of the records for the show.
