Grace Get's Her First Q and a First Place Ribbon!!!

Sequim, Washington:

April 3/04 Grace earned her first AKC qualifiying score and a first place score  in Novice Preferred, Jumpers with Weaves!  We knew she could do it, we just didn't realize it would take so long!! 

Grace happily did the course having no faults except for 2 time faults, and followed her clean run with an NFL caliber end zone dance which would have earned her a fine under the new NFL quidelines for dancing around after a touchdown is scored.

Heather decided that it was time to earn a ribbon for Grace.  When you see the video you will observe that  even though Grace is starting to run on both sides of Heather; in order to assure a ribbon, Heather decided to run the long way around the course after Grace had completed the weave poles!!  The ribbons were proudly displayed at our encampment for the balance of the trial, for all to admire and envy.  Poor Al didn't earn any ribbons or any toys that day, so he had to live in Grace's shadow for once;  although he did make some jaws drop for those that saw his JWW run.  

Grace's Standard run at the end of the day was ruined by a collapsed chute that moved in the wind every time she got inside.  Her instincts took over, and she bailed three times, before she courageously went on to complete another nice run.
